PREPEC has also pioneered the designs of Gates, used for bulk material handling available and can be powered pneumatically, hydraulically as well as through electro-mechanical actuators. Actuators with position indicators are combined to interface with the control logic of the customers.

The range and types of Gates are:

Rack & Pinion Gate

These gates are ideal for low headroom use. They are most suited for the flow of any bulk dry material of any gravity in a controlled manner. Transferring fly ash, coal, ore, limestone, coke, cement, uranium oxide, etc., from mines to the plant or from plant to ship are the few application areas of PREPEC designed Rack & Pinion Gates.

Swing Gate

The swing gate is a heavy-duty industrial gate designed to regulate or shut off material flow in ducts, chutes, or process lines. It consists of a robust steel gate plate mounted on a horizontal shaft, allowing smooth swinging movement between open and closed positions. The gate is reinforced for structural rigidity and coated for corrosion resistance, ensuring reliable performance in harsh operating environments.

Flap Gate with Chute

The flap gate is a simple and effective flow control device used in ducts, chutes, and material handling systems to regulate or isolate the flow of air, gas, or bulk material. It consists of a hinged flap plate that opens or closes based on gravity or process pressure, ensuring unidirectional flow and preventing backflow. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, flap gates are reliable, low-maintenance, and suitable for harsh industrial environments. 

Rod Gate

The rod gate is a robust mechanical isolation device used to control or stop the flow of bulk material in chutes, hoppers, and process equipment. It consists of a flat gate plate operated by a central rod mechanism that enables smooth linear movement between open and closed positions. Designed for strength and durability, the rod gate is fabricated from heavy-duty steel and finished with a protective coated paint.

Diverter Gate

PREPEC Diverter Gates are used mainly to divert the material moving through the conveyor belts to the chutes or to the other conveying systems.

Sector Gate

Apparently, it seems that main function of all the gates mentioned above are same. However, PREPEC do put in lot of resources in terms of time, energy and money in designing used specific equipments. Sector gate is one of them. Normally these gates are used to discharge the material to the chutes without effecting the important parts.
